A person shall not knowingly possess, handle or transmit any object that can reasonably be considered a weapon on the school grounds or off the school grounds at a school activity, function or event. This policy shall include any weapon, any item being used as a weapon or destructive device, or any facsimile of a weapon. Possession, handling or use of any weapon shall result in suspension or expulsion from school.

Security or other college official will direct the person to immediately remove the weapon as defined above from the college or college function. If this is not done, local law enforcement will be notified and the weapon will be confiscated. Violation of this policy by a student will result in disciplinary action up to and including suspension or dismissal from Pratt Community College.
