
Longevity Pay Policy
Longevity pay is to recognize long-term service of PCC Staff members.
As of July 1, 2008, an amount to be determined by the Board of Trustees, will be paid for continuous, uninterrupted service at the end of the third year of service. Longevity pay will be a lump sum payment, paid at two (2) year intervals (3, 5, 7, 9, etc.) and will be paid during the anniversary month of employment. Longevity pay is subject to all payroll taxes require by law.
Eligibility
1. Regular full-time and Regular part-time employees .50 FTE and above, both Classified Hourly and Professional Exempt/Non-exempt employees (does not include President, Vice-Presidents and Athletic Director).
• Payment for Part-time employees will be prorated according to the individuals’ FTE status upon the anniversary date.
2. Grant positions are eligible only if written into the Grant
3. Individuals must be currently employed through the end of their anniversary month in order to receive payment.
4. Faculty members, adjunct instructors and temporary workers are not eligible for longevity pay.
5. Federal/Institutional work study students are not considered to be staff employees and are not eligible for longevity pay.
Longevity pay is not to be confused with the Years of Service Awards which honor employees for their total years of service to PCC.
Policy is effective July 1, 2008.
