I need to take a COMPASS test
I’ve heard that I need to take a COMPASS Test
The COMPASS test (or suitable alternative) is used to place students in English and math courses. You must take a COMPASS test before enrolling one of those courses. You may do so at the Student Success Center office in room 55 on the main campus.
Prior to taking the test you may want to review the scores needed for classes at PCC. Check our links for Course Placement English and Course Placement Math.
You may want to take a practice test or review math, English and/or reading before you take the test. You can do so at one of these sites:
- http://www.act.org/compass/sample/index.html
This site provides tips for taking the COMPASS test - http://www.act.org/compass/student/tips.html
When you are ready to arrange a test time:
-
Call (620) 450-2156 to schedule a testing time.
-
If it is more convenient for you, you may take a COMPASS test (or suitable alternative) at a community college or university near you. Email the Student Success Center (amyj@prattcc.edu) to determine exactly which tests you need and/or to confirm a suitable alternative test.
