State Certifcation Exams Information
Kansas STATE TESTING INFORMATION for Certifications
(Nurse, Medication and Home Health Aide)
- Tests are given on the first and third Wednesdays monthly
- Proctor fee of $20.00 is required
- Testing is in Chandler Hall, Pratt Main Campus
- Contact Allied Heath at 620.450.2254 or 316-927-3782 with any questions
What to bring on testing day...
- Plan to arrive at least approximately 45 minutes before testing time
- Proctoring fee of $20.00 must be paid in the business office on main campus, prior to testing
- Bring receipt of payment to Chandler Hall
- Bring an original photo ID
- Approval to test letter
- No student will be allowed to enter the testing session LATE.
- A student can expect to be given 2 hours to complete the state certification exam.
Special concerns...
- If a student missed the scheduled exam:
- Student will need to contact the Kansas Department of Heath and Environment and request an application to schedule a new testing time and an additional fee will apply. You can arrange this by contacting: Betty Domer at bdomer@kdheks.gov or call, 785-296-1250.
- If a student needs special accommodations for taking the exam:
- Contact Margit Stritzel, Allied Heath Coordinator, margits@prattcc.edu or 316-927-3780
- A student will have a total of three attempts within 12 months from the beginning date of the course to successfully complete the written state test.
Students who pass the State certification exam will be notified by KDHE in 3-4 weeks.
