
Women's Basketball Offense Struggles in Butler Loss
The PCC Women's Basketball Team could only connect on 27 percent from the field on Saturday night, falling to Butler County 82-56. The Beavers will remain in sixth place in the Jayhawk West with two games remaining in the regular season.
Pratt opened the game digging a 16 point hole, but made a furious comeback to cut the lead to one at 21-20. However, Butler pulled ahead again for a 41-32 halftime lead. Butler scored another 41 in the second half, but Pratt could only manage 24.
For the game Pratt shot 27 percent from the field to Butler's 56 percent. From behind the arc, Pratt connected on 4 of 24 for 18 percent. Butler hit for 41 percent of their threes. The Beavers did win the free throw contest, hitting 20 of 28 for 71 percent to Butler's 60 percent.
Pratt won the battle of the boards 40-35, but turned the ball over 23 times to Butler's 15.
Pratt had only one player in double figures, Jazmine Bell with 15.
