Butler Beats Beavers 11-9 in Baseball

The PCC baseball team dropped the first game of a doubleheader with Butler Community College 11-9.  The Beavers scored five runs in the bottom of the first inning to take a 5-0 lead.  The Grizzlies answered with five runs of their own in the top of the second inning. 
 
Butler took a 9-6 lead into the bottom of the fourth inning.  Skyler Sumner drew a walk after an Ethan Elrod double.  Zach Sell delivered a game-tying 3-run homerun over the right centerfield fence to tie the game at 9-9.  Butler scratched two runs off of Blake McMullen in the top of the sixth to make the final score 11-9.  McMullen (1-2) was the losing pitcher.

The Beavers dropped the second game 15-0.  Pratt will host Bethany JV on Tuesday.  The doubleheader will begin at 4:00pm at Stanion Field.
