Education and Social Science

The Education and Social Science department at Pratt Community College offers foundational classes for education majors as well as basic transferable courses in psychology, sociology, government, geography, history and humanities. Students learn about other cultures and more about their own.

Students interested in similar experiences outside the classroom should check out Club International, or take part in the countless opportunities for community service through groups such as Phi Theta Kappa or Rotaract.

Elementary Education majors have the opportunity to continue their curriculum through a collaboration with Fort Hays State University (FHSU). Students take courses on the PCC campus and via the Internet to receive their Bachelor's degree from Fort Hays State with no commute.
