Lady Beaver win in thrilling Fashion
The lady Beavers began their inaugural year off in thrilling fashion. Friday, they traveled to Independence for a season opening conference game. Alycia Reed claims the historic first goal in PCC women's soccer history as she scored off a well-placed cross from Tanya Morales. ICC got on the board in the second half from a freekick just outside the penalty box. The Beavers refused to let their first game end in a tie. Late in the second overtime, Kayci Huslig took matters into her own hands by capitalizing on an opportunity enabled by her teammates' determination and scoring the walk-off goal from 30 yards out. "I couldn't be more proud of the effort my girls put forth out there. There is room for improvement, but I couldn't be happier with the result. A team full of freshman made history on Friday; way to go ladies!"- Coach Schicke
