Great Trips, Tickets and Tee Times Up for Bid April 29 at the Beaver Backer Bash!
Picture your perfect weekend getaway. Are you cheering for your favorite team, teeing off at a picturesque golf course, hiding away in a mountain cabin, or enjoying an evening of dinner and theater with your significant other? Well, look no further. All these excursions and more can be found at the 23rd Annual Beaver Backer Bash on April 29.
“The enthusiasm for this year’s Beaver Backer Bash is contagious as April 29 gets closer,” said Rhonda Westerhaus, Auction Committee chair. “This was brought home when I called Luciano’s Italian restaurant in Mulvane for a meal donation only to hear the voice of a former student, now a sous chef trained in Italy, who couldn’t thank me enough for his start at PCC. This is what we’re working toward and makes it all so worthwhile!”
“When in Rome” is this year’s event theme, and patrons will enjoy an Italian feast complete with wine and appetizers, live music and entertainment. For the first time, commemorative glasses also will be available for $10 each. These elegant wine and highball glasses come with free drinks and serve as raffle tickets for several door prizes. All Beaver Backer Bash proceeds provide much-needed scholarships for PCC students
Westerhaus and her team of 15 community and PCC volunteers have assembled 100 items and packages to be auctioned during the event. “Everyone is sure to find something to pique their interest this year,” said Jody Jorns, PCC Foundation Director.
A complete list will be available soon on this website and in the auction catalog. Tickets can be purchased in the Foundation office and cost $12/single or $20/couple ro call 620.450.2179. Glasses can be purchased at the event.
