Matt Burns Named Conference Player-of-the-Week

Shortstop Matt Burns was named the Jayhawk Conference Player-of-the-Week from April 25-May 1.  The DeRidder, Louisiana native homered in his final at-bat to hit for the cylce against Brown Mackie College on April 27.  He continued his hot streak in a four-game series at Colby over the weekend.

• Batting 12-20, .600 average
• 9 runs scored
• 7 RBI
• 3 doubles
• One triple
• One homerun
• 6 stolen bases
• Reached base safely in 13 consecutive plate appearances
• Hit for the cycle against Brown Mackie on April 27
