PCC To Hold Second College Start Summer Academy

Pratt Community College is hosting the 2nd Annual College Start Summer Academy for 2011-2012 (rising) sophomore, junior and senior students.
This year’s College Start Summer Academy is May 31 – June 2 on the PCC campus in Pratt. The students will earn a one-hour college credit and receive a $500 college scholarship to Pratt Community College for attending.
Last years’ students who attended were involved in numerous interactive activities, learning and fun. Participants met new friends, learned about college and careers, shared leadership and character building experiences and spent two nights, supervised, on a college campus.
Students of the appropriate age group are encouraged to attend. The registration fee includes everything, all of their meals, lodging, learning sessions, social activities and transportation. PCC will transport Wichita students to and from our eLearning Service Center on 7920 W. Kellogg to Pratt. Adult supervision is provided throughout the academy and the students will be “engaged” every minute.
