PCC Nursing Program, 2 Year Option
PN Completion Program (First Year)
Pratt Community College’s CNA to LPN Program has been renamed to the PN Completion Program. There are two program options for students: on-campus or hybrid, up to 1/3 can be face-to-face or “live” instruction. It may help if you think of this as the second step in a nursing career (Step 1-CNA, Step 2-LPN, and Step 3-RN).
The PN Completion Program is available at the Pratt and Winfield campuses. The first year, CNA to LPN portion, is available to Kansas residents only. The second year, ADN Completion Program portion, is not limited to only Kansas residents.
The on-campus PN Completion Program is a traditional class that only starts in the spring semester and goes for one year. After program completion, the students are required to pass their LPN Licensure Exam and reapply before moving on to the ADN Completion Program.
The priority deadline for the on-campus program is February 1. Students who have all items completed on the admission checklist by the priority deadline will receive priority consideration for the fall term.
If you are an LPN wanting to complete the ADN portion we do offer the program on campus at both locations, Pratt and Winfield, but space is limited.
After successfully completing the first year of the PN Completion Program (CNA to LPN) and after obtaining your LPN licensure, you will then move on to the second year of the program. Through the second year of the program, upon successful completion, you will be eligible to take the NCLEX-RN®.
Students must be self-motivated, have excellent computer skills, current e-mail and reliable internet service.
Each student will be required to complete clinical hours. These clinicals will be under the direction of a clinical instructor, and may be in a variety of facilities within the state of Kansas. The clinical dates and times vary and depend upon approval of the clinical facilities. A draft of the clinical dates will be provided at the beginning of the program, but may change due to facility availability.
ADN Completion Program (Second Year)
The ADN Completion Program, second year, is not limited to Kansas residents only. PCC is proud that we were the first state-wide LPN to RN online option in Kansas, and we are currently the largest nursing program in the state of Kansas. Successful completion of this program will allow you to take the NCLEX-RN® and to apply for RN licensure.

The PCC Nursing Program has a long-standing tradition of producing high-quality nurses prepared to enter the work-force. Employers consistently rate PCC nursing graduates above average to excellent. Although the format may differ somewhat, the same quality-proven curriculum is delivered online and has been approved by the Kansas State Board of Nursing.
