Cook Receives Post Season Award
Pratt Community College’s Women’s Soccer goalkeeper Corrin Cook, sophomore from Minneapolis, Minn., received Honorable Mention All-KJCCC for her efforts on the soccer pitch. Cook has started every game in her two years at PCC. She posted one shutout last year and four this season. She was captain for both seasons, and we are very proud she is a Beaver.
“She embodies everything a coach would want in a student-athlete,” said Jerrid Schicke, head coach. “I am so fortunate that I convinced her to sign on to our inaugural team. Who knows what these last couple seasons would have looked like if we didn’t have a goalkeeper of this quality.”
Cook holds the school record for: minutes played, career saves, single season saves, shutouts and saves per game. An Academic All-American both seasons (Lady Beavers received team recognition as an All-Academic Team), and has been on the honor roll each semester at PCC.
“Corrin has been absolutely huge for us over these past two years,” Schicke said. “She has exceeded all expectations as a leader, player, and student athlete. I am proud to have had the honor to coach her, and am sure she will continue on from PCC and continue her outstanding career.”
