Jameson Signs with Northwestern State University
The Pratt Community College baseball program is pleased to announce that Jarrod Jameson, a sophomore out of Oklahoma City, has signed a national letter of intent to play baseball for the Demons of Northwestern State University in Louisiana. Jameson as a freshman for the Beavers had four wins with an earned run average of 5.23. Jarrod led the pitching staff in innings pitched, with two complete games and finished second with 43 strikeouts.
Beavers’ head coach Ryan Schmidt couldn’t be happier for Jarrod and his opportunity to play division one baseball.
“Jarrod is a hard worker and I am happy to see that his hard work is paying off," Schmidt said. "He is capable of doing some great things on the mound and that is what we would like to see out of him this spring.”
Northwestern State head baseball coach Jon Paul Davis sees a bright future for Jarrod in the Demon uniform. Davis said "Jarrod is a physical right-handed pitcher that has the tools necessary to be a weekend starter for us. He throws in the upper 80's to low 90's right now and his velocity and overall stuff should continue to improve as he continues to add size and strength to his frame. We feel that he has the ability to develop into a Friday night guy for the Demons."
Northwestern State is located in Natchitoches, LA and is a member of the Southland Conference. Jarrod will join former Beaver Matt Burns next year on the Northwestern State roster.
