Performing arts department entertains community
The Pratt Community College Performing Arts Department celebrated the Christmas season Dec. 7 with a pizza party and Christmas caroling. The group of approximately 30 students and faculty visited 21 homes to Christmas carol.
“Not only were they spreading holiday cheer, but also saying thank you for the community’s dedication and support to the arts,” said PCC performing arts instructor, Misty Beck.
Students from theatre, the choirs and the bands were all in attendance. The department hopes to make this a holiday tradition.
Performing arts students wrapped up the semester with a performance at Southwest Elementary School on Dec. 9, where the Acting class will perform “Mother Goose’s Christmas Party” and Encore! sang a set of Christmas tunes. This show is sponsored in part by a South Central Community Foundation Grant.
