Career Exploration Event

Release Date:
Monday, January 09, 2012

Pratt Community College’s PASS Program and Career Services have teamed up to provide students with a career exploration event on Tues., Jan. 10 at 10 a.m. in the Carpenter Auditorium.

The purpose is to provide a data driven career exploration event to encourage student retention through guided discussion in career development. The data comes from the compilation of the Kansas Career Pipeline, taken by all PASS and Strategies for Success students.

The following people will be presenting to the PCC students: Paul Hayes, M-C Company, Inc; Eldon Ford, Southwest Trucking; Dennis Farrell, Kwik Shop IT Director; Mike Miller, Kansas Parks and Wildlife Magazine Editor; and Mike Newton, Pratt Well Service.

The Career Services would like to see this event become a regular event every semester, eventually streamlined to the point that it can be shared with our service area counselors to be used in high schools.
