Wrestling at NJCAA Nationals
Pratt Community College Beavers travel to Rochester, MN to compete for NJCAA Nationals.
Pratt Community College Wrestling Team competed in the NJCAA National Wrestling Championships. Pratt Community College qualified 6 for the event and represented the West Central District very well. At 141, Levi Schnieder defeated his first opponent and then took a tough loss to the 2012 National Runner-Up from Lincoln College and defending All-American Jase Campbell from Colby Community College. At 149, Sophmore John Lynch went 2-2 for the Beavers and competed very strong while Keegan Smith at 157 had a tough day losing his first two bouts. At 174, Landon "Tug" Keiswetter made it to the Championship Quarterfinals before being defeated by the National Runner-Up from North Idaho and then making his way through the backside of the bracket to earn All-American honors and take a 5th place finish. He defeated numerous ranked wrestlers in those two days. Taylor Baird turned it on as the Pratt natvie was one win away from punching his ticket to be an All-American. To finish, Tim Tuaquoi finished 8th at 285 to earn All-American honors. The team finished 19th in the country with two All-Americans.
