Beavers Finish Fourth in Conference

The Beaver baseball squad split their final conference regular season series with Cloud County 2-2 which clinched a fourth place finish for the Beavers. The Beavers dropped the opening game of the series 4-5. Jarrod Jameson was scored with the loss by pitching six inning and allowing five runs on seven hits. The Beavers out hit Cloud County 10-7 but were unable to capitalize with runners in scoring position.

In game two Pratt outscored Cloud 13-4. The Beavers put up 16 hits in the game, four of which came off the bat of Skylar Angood and three that came from Jeremy Geist. Bryant Theis had two hits in the game and drove in five runs. Taylor Gentry picked up his third win on the season by throwing six innings and striking out five.

The Beavers dropped game three 1-4 despite another complete game by a starting pitcher. Landon Hallam threw six innings while giving up four runs, zero were earned runs.

Pratt closed the series out with a 5-0 win as Tanner Kilmer threw seven scoreless inning followed by two scoreless inning from Junior Mustain. Aaron Stubblefield, Skylar Angood, and Jeremy Geist all had multi-hit games for the Beavers.

The Beavers will start post season play this Saturday May 5th as they take on Kansas City Kansas Community College at 9:00 AM in Overland Park, KS.
