Guyton to Akron, 4 More Moving On

Pratt Basketball is excited to announce that five members of the sophomore class have decided to continue their athletic careers at the next level. Cari Guyton headlines the list as she has decided to go back to her hometown to Akron University to finish her playing career. Guyton, who averaged 12 points and 9 rebounds this year while garnering all-conference honors, is excited to reach her goal of playing for a Division I program. Ann Pauly will move forward at Adams State in Colorado next season. The Beavers leading scorer will play for the Division II school that competes in the extremely competitive Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. Sarah Johnson will also move on to the NCAA Division II level as she has signed on with Oklahoma Panhandle State for next season. Sarah will be a great fit for their program that is known for playing fast and taking a lot of 3-pointers, two areas where Johnson greatly excels. Whitney Bates has decided to stay close to home and play for Friends University. Bates will be looked to for immediate playing time at the point from the Falcons who won their conference and made the NAIA national tournament this past season. Last Kamie Rash has decided to move forward with her athletic career as well, only in golf. Rash has signed with Kansas-Wesleyan. Kamie is a former Kansas state champion on the links and should have no problem contributing right away for KW. PCC wishes all of them the best of luck in their next step.
