Nursing teams scheduled to visit for accreditation next week
Teams from the National League for Nursing Accreditation Commission and the Kansas State Board of Nursing will visit Pratt Community College’s campuses in Wichita, Winfield, and Pratt next week. Beginning Oct. 30 accreditors will arrive to begin their review of the PCC Nursing Department.
Accreditors will be on campus from Tuesday through Friday as they complete their review of the Nursing department. To develop a complete picture of the department, accreditors will look at facilities in Pratt, Wichita, and Winfield, as well as hold conferences with President William Wojciechowski and other key administrators, as well as nursing faculty on and off campus.
NLNAC will be evaluating the ADN program for reaccreditation. KSBN will be evaluating both the PN and ADN programs for re-approval. These state and national on-site visits are required every 8 years, with reports due annually.
Students as well as community members will be invited to provide comments on the Nursingdepartment as well, and an open meeting for the community is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 1 at 6 p.m. in Room 422 in Chandler Hall.
