Nursing

NUR 101 skills lab

The main goal of the nursing department is to prepare caring, compassionate and competent ADN nurses for the workforce. PCC offers both a Practical Nurse (PN) and Associate degree in Nursing (ADN). Students who successfully complete the PN level at PCC can automatically enter the ADN level. As space is available, LPNs can also enter the ADN level.

Why Start with an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)? In many places the starting salary is the same as a nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Gain nursing experience and RN salary while completing a BSN. Nursing graduates from ADN program take the same licensure exam (NCLEX-RN ®) and consistently score higher than those in BSN programs.
