About PCC

Pratt Community College is proud to be a part of the Pratt community. With a 75 year history, PCC is a two-year public, comprehensive community college and an area vocational school. We offer a well-rounded general education for the student planning to transfer to a four-year college or university. For our technical students, we provide the skills needed to enter directly into the workforce. Some of our hallmark programs include Electrical Power Technology, Ag Power Technology, Automotive Technology, Electrical Technology and Nursing. We are accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. This accreditation reflects the high quality of our academic and technical programs.

Pratt Community College is an affordable way to obtain a top-notch education. The average student who attends Pratt Community College for two years instead of a four year university saves $5,500 on average over those two years. PCC has a generous scholarship package and is a granting institution for federal financial aid. Scholarships are available for athletics, academics, technical programs, fine arts and more.

PCC provides an active campus environment for more than 350 residents housed in six residence halls. The newest is East Hall Apartments, housing 72 students in apartment style suites, was completed in 2010. There are two other co-ed halls, North Hall and Scholarship Hall, both completed in 1998 and 2002 respectively. In addition to numerous student activities, the college offers over a dozen student organizations and clubs with additional opportunities to participate in music, arts, and athletics - both collegiate and intramural. PCC is a member of the highly competitive NJCAA Region VI, Jayhawk West Conference and offers 7 men's and 7 women's programs, including the newest addition, soccer. While the average daily attendance on campus averages 500-600 students, we service more than 3,000 students annually. These students consist of full-time, part-time, on and off-campus and online.

In keeping with the ever changing methods of education outreach PCC is available through partnerships and online. The Pratt/Cowley Nursing Cooperative, the Winfield program encompasses an ADN nursing program, Practical Nurse (PN) programs, as well as on site LPN to RN classes. PCC also has partnered with Coffeyville Community to provide Electrical Technology at the Pratt Campus and Electrical Power Technology at the Coffeyville campus. The eLearning Service Center in Wichita provides the following services: test proctoring, study groups, recruiting functions, athletic signings, computer use, enrollment, questions, Financial Aid information and COMPASS testing.
