ITC Great Plains, a prominent utility company in Kansas, managing power transmission infrastructures in Kansas and Oklahoma. The company has long acknowledged the high-quality education and workforce readiness provided by Pratt CC's Electrical Power Technology (EPT) program. On April 12, 2024 Pratt Community College students Bella Crowell and Blake Jouret were honored as All-Kansas Scholars by state legislators, college presidents, and other Kansas leaders at an award ceremony and luncheon in Junction City, Kansas.

Students are selected based on outstanding academic achievement as well as accomplishments and services rendered outside the classroom.

Transfer Scholarships

Pratt Community College has a variety of scholarships available to transferring students. 

PCC transfer scholarships are endowed funds set up for graduating students who intend to continue their education. Transfer Scholarships applications are available during the Spring semester each year to graduating students through the eCentral portal.

Pratt Community College held a ceremony April 1, 2024 on campus to induct its newest members to honor societies Phi Theta Kappa and Kappa Beta Delta.

25 new members joined Phi Theta Kappa and 6 new members joined Kappa Beta Delta in the Spring 2024 ceremony held in the Riney Student Conference Center on campus.

FAFSA completion events

The Kansas Board of Regents (KBOR) and the Kansas Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (KASFAA) are partnering to provide one-on-one support for Kansas students and families who want help with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

The 2024 Virtual FAFSA Completion week will include sessions from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. every evening from Monday, March 4 through Thursday, March 7. During each session, participants will have an opportunity to speak individually with student financial aid experts to obtain assistance with completing the FAFSA.

Academic olympics 2024

Pratt CC welcomed 15 area high schools and approximately 600 students to campus for the annual Academic Olympics event on February 26. Students compete against other schools academically by taking tests, performing a task or submitting entries for judging in multiple categories. Subjects include Math, Science, English, Animal Science, Ag Mechanics, Art, Creative Writing, Vocal Solos and Duets and many others.
