How to Apply for Employment at PCC

Required Documents:

FACULTY

  • Cover letter referencing position title
  • Vitae or Resume
  • Unofficial copies of transcripts showing last degree earned
  • Names and phone numbers of three (3) professional references
  • Completed PCC Employment Application

STAFF

  • Cover letter referencing position title
  • Resume
  • Completed PCC Employment Application

ADJUNCT FACULTY (Adjunct applications are accepted on an ongoing basis)

  • Cover letter stating program/area in which you are qualified to teach and location(s) desired
  • Resume
  • Completed PCC Employment Application

Important Information:

Completed PCC applications will be forwarded to the Search Committee for review. Additional items or documents may be requested depending upon the position. Please read the job advertisement thoroughly. If you are an applicant with a disability and need special assistance or accommodations to complete your application form, interview, or perform any other part of the employment application process, please notify the Personnel Office at 620-450-2139 or by writing to the Personnel Office in advance so that arrangements can be made. Position postings on campus are located on the job board in the Personnel Office (Main Bldg).

Interview Procedure:

Applicants are selected for interviews by a Selection Committee that is designated by the Hiring Supervisor/Division Chair and the President's Cabinet representative. Selected applicants are interviewed by the Selection Committee and other necessary department personnel. The applicant selection process can take up to three (3) weeks to complete due to the volume of applications received or the number of personnel on the Selection Committee. Faculty applicants are also reviewed by Faculty Council.

Interview Process:

Interviews for most positions are conducted in person, but can include telephone and/or video presentation. Interviews can take up to one hour or be over a 2-3 day period depending on the level of the position.
