Club 62+ Senior Program

What is Club 62+?

Club 62+ is a programming and discount service for senior citizens 62+ years of age in the Pratt Community College Service area of Pratt, Kiowa, Barber, Kingman, Harper, Comanche and Stafford counties. In addition to great programs exclusively for our members, such as casino trips, special speakers and murder mysteries, seniors may receive a discount card entitling them to:

  • One-half price admission to college athletic events
  • Tuition scholarships for all college courses
  • Free admission to college cultural events for which students are admitted free

Summer and Fall 2018 Events

RSVPs are open for all events at this time. Call 620-450-2184 to RSVP. Transportation is provided to all out of town trips. It is suggested that you arrive 15-30 minutes before the scheduled leaving time for your seating convenience.

Payment is not required till the day of the event, but participants who cancel without 48 hours’ notice will still be assessed the full cost of the activity. When you register for an event, you can expect a courtesy call a few days before as a reminder and confirmation of your attendance.

Stearman Field Bar & Grill and Infinity Art Glass // June 21, 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.  RSVP by June 10

We will visit the Infinity Art Glass and view Scott Hartley’s hand-blown art work. We will be having lunch at Stearman Field Bar and Grill. (They will be charging us a twenty percent gratuity because of our large group.) Easy going American eatery with a cavernous patio overlooking classic planes on landing strip. Both of these establishments are located in Benton, Kan.

Dodge City Casino // July 23, 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.  RSVP by July 15

Transportation will be provided to the casino in Dodge City for or a day of fun. You will be responsible for your own lunch at the casino. We must have 20 or more people to make this trip possible.

Field Station: Dinosaurs // August 20. 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. RSVP by Aug. 13.

Field Station Dinosaurs is a world-class family attraction that brings more than 40 animatronic, lifelike dinosaurs to Derby, KS. From well-known dinos like the Stegosaurus, Triceratops, Brachiosaurus and fearsome T. rex to dinosaurs found in the Smoky Hills of Kansas (Niobrarasaurus, Nyctosaurus, Tylosaurus), families will get a chance to explore the natural habitats of these ravenous beasts and leave knowing they have become scientists in the field of paleontology.

“AMERICA’S MUSICAL JOURNEY” celebrates the unique diversity of cultures and creative risk-taking that characterize America, as told through the story of its music. The film follows Grammy Award®-nominated singer and songwriter Aloe Blacc as he traces the roots of America’s music through the colorful locales and cultures where it was born.  Visiting iconic cities such as New Orleans, Chicago, New York City, Nashville, Memphis, Miami and more, “AMERICA’S MUSICAL JOURNEY” explores the collision of cultures that gave birth to America’s diverse musical heritage.  “AMERICA’S MUSICAL JOURNEY” is a MacGillivray Freeman film produced in association with Brand USA and presented by Expedia.

Dillon Lecture Series Doreen Walsh// November 6, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. RSVP by Oct. 25

Flight attendant on US Airways flight that landed on the Hudson River - “Miracle on the Hudson”. If you had only 90 seconds to focus the survival skills of those around you, what would you do? This is the question Doreen asks, it’s the question she answers, it’s the story she tells.

$10 plus lunch.

All bus passengers are required to sign in and provide an emergency contact before each departure. Please bring a phone number for your primary emergency contact when you arrive.
