$1,000 scholarship

Requirements:

• Must be an average or better student scholastically
• Must be a high school senior, college freshman or sophomore
• Enrolled or plan to enroll in an approved junior college, college, university, or trade school located in Kansas
• Must be a son or daughter of a veteran; the parents must have been a member of hte Kansas American Legion and/or Kansas American Legion Auxiliary for the past three years
• May be the son or daughterof a deceased member whose membership was paid up in the American Legion Auxiliary in the year of death
