The Pratt Community College baseball program is pleased to announce that Jarrod Jameson, a sophomore out of Oklahoma City, has signed a national letter of intent to play baseball for the Demons of Northwestern State University in Louisiana. Sophomore infielder Matt Burns was named a unanimous 1st Team All-Conference selection at second base by the Jayhawk West Conference coaches. Freshman relief pitcher Junior Mustain was an honorable mention selection to the squad.

Baseball's Season Ends in Playoffs

The Beaver baseball team’s season ended with a 12-5 loss to Johnson County in Chanute in the loser’s bracket of the Region VI Super Regional. Johnson County’s six-run sixth inning proved to be too much for the Beavers to overcome.

The Beaver baseball team scored three runs in the bottom of the ninth inning of an elimination game to beat Barton County Community College 6-5 in the Region VI Super Regional in Chanute, KS. Pratt dropped the opening game of the tournament 8-6 to Neosho County. The Beavers will play the loser of the Neosho/Johnson County game on Sunday at 3:30pm.

Matt Burns Named Conference Player-of-the-Week

Shortstop Matt Burns was named the Jayhawk Conference Player-of-the-Week from April 25-May 1. The DeRidder, Louisiana native homered in his final at-bat to hit for the cylce against Brown Mackie College on April 27. He continued his hot streak in a four-game series at Colby over the weekend.
