Rodeo


Pratt Community College’s Rodeo Program is a vital part of the college’s Agriculture Department. The team participates in the Central Plains Region of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association. Pratt is host to one of the largest college rodeos in the state each October.

PCC Rodeo October 1, 2 and 3

PCC is proud to host more than 500 competitors at the annual PCC Rodeo.
The week is full of activities including:

Colby College Rodeo

This year we place two men back to the short go at Colby Community College. With over 450 entries this year it proved to be a tough rodeo as always. Joe Ross split 3rd and 4th in the long round in the steer wrestling. In the short go he needed to be a 5.3 to win the average; he was 5.2 but broke the barrier and had a 10 second penalty. Rodeo at Kansas State University

 
Pratt Community College will have 15 students hauling to Kansas State University this weekend for the rodeo. The rodeo will start Friday morning with slack and run through the Sunday short-go.

Rocky Patterson wins World Championship Steer Roping Title

GUTHRIE, Okla. – Winning the 10th round at the Clem McSpadden National Finals Steer Roping was nice, but Rocky Patterson was convinced after action had concluded at the Lazy E Arena that he would be returning to his Pratt, Kansas home with a second place finish.
