Fall Concert to hit Carpenter Auditorium

Saturday, 20 October, 2007

New instructor, new groups, new sound. These are just a few of the special things guests will enjoy when the Pratt Community College music department hosts its Fall Concert, October 30 at 7:30 in Carpenter Auditorium.

Musical groups on the program include the Concert Choir, the Encore show choir and the newest group Vivace. Vivace is only in it second year and is a smaller a cappella ensemble. The concert will feature all types of music from madrigals to jazz to spirituals. There truly should be something for every taste in music. PCC's new director of music, J.J. Rupe, will meet and greet after the concert, so this is a great opportunity for Pratt's music fans to get to know the new instructor. Rupe comes to Pratt with a music degree from Fort Hays State University. In addition to the vocal program, he is also director of the Blue Fusion Jazz Band.

For more information about the concert, please contact Rupe at 620-450-2123 or Jeremyr@prattcc.edu.
