The PCC Men’s Golf Team moved up in the Jayhawk this week with a strong showing at the par 71-6,590 yard Quail Ridge golf course in Winfield. Andrew Hoover led the Beavers with a sixth place four over par 72-74-146.
DJ Meadows shot a thirteen over 78-77-155 for 18th place. Brett Loeffler finished 23rd with a 79-79-158. Dylan Vogt tied for 29th with a 79-82-161, and Josh Elpers shot a 79-84-163.
"I was really pleased with our improvement from the first conference tournament two weeks ago.” said Head Coach Jon Bishop. “We put together our best round of 308 in the morning and could have stayed in 4th but slipped a little with a 312 in the afternoon to finish in 5th. Andrew Hoover played very well and put himself in the individual conference race by shooting a 72-74 (146) and finishing 6th overall. We need to continue to improve our scores individually to end the fall season and set our team up for a run this spring.”
