Women's BB Splits in Nebraska

By:Patrick Hall Tuesday, 27 November, 2007

The PCC Women's Basketball Team traveled to Scottsbluff, Nebraska and split a pair of matches over the weekend, beating Lamar (CO) 90-67, and losing to Western Nebraska, 79-54.

On Friday night, Western Nebraska proved too much for the Beavers, who shot only 32 percent. Nebraska wasn't that much better at 39 percent, but coupled with a 52-43 rebounding advantage and a 16-24 turnover ratio, it was enough.

The Beavers' high scorer was Wyneisha Webb with 17. The only other Pratt player in double figures was Liddy Friesen with 11.

On Saturday, Pratt returned with a vengeance, building a 20 point first half lead on 40 percent shooting. Most importantly Pratt enjoyed a 72 to 49 rebounding advantage.

Pratt had five players in double figure scoring, starting with Sasha Crosby with 18. Lindsee Bachicha put in 14, Sydney Moore had 13, Liddy Friesen 11, and Wyneisha Webb had 10. Friesen and Moore had double/doubles with 12 and 11 rebounds respectively.

Pratt travels to Coffeyville for the Shootout this weekend. They'll take on Coffeyville at 5:00 on Saturday and Cowley at 5:00 on Sunday.
