The PCC Women's Basketball Team fell behind early to Coffeyville in the Jayhawk Classic on Friday, but despite a superior second half effort, the Beavers dropped the game 68-56.
Pratt was down by 14 at intermission, shooting 34 percent to Coffeyville's 48. In the second half, Pratt's shooting improved to 37 percent while Coffeyvill's dropped to 34. And while the Beavers scored 32 second half points to the Red Ravens' 30, it wasn't enough to make up the deficit.
Pratt was led by Wyneisha Webb's 20 and Sasha Crosby's 13. Liddy Friesen pulled down 10 rebounds. Pratt was outrebounded 47 to 36 and had 28 turnovers to Coffeyville's 22. The Beavers hit 28 percent of their threes compared to the Ravens' woeful 7 percent. The Ravens also struggled at the line, where they hit only 53 percent. The Beavers were at 77. However, the Ravens hit 41 percent from the filed for the game, while Pratt shot 35 percent.
