The PCC Cross Country program, under second year Head Coach Ben Sigle, saw Ande Jorgenson earn Coaches’ All-American recognition for his 30th place finish out of 215 runners at the NJCAA National Championships in El Paso. Jorgenson also finished 11th in the Region.
Coach Sigle also placed three All-Americans from the PCC Track and Field team. Sprinter Greg Franklin made the finals of both the 100m and 200m. Curtis King joined Franklin in the 200m final, and Dusty Schartz qualified for the second year in a row in the javelin. Franklin finished sixth in the 100m with a time of 10.48. He then went on to finish fifth in the 200m in 21.43. King finished seventh in the 200m in 21.58. Schartz finished sixth in the javelin with a throw of 181’10”. Last year Schartz finished fourth with a throw of 187’6”.
