The Beaver Men's Basketball Team overcame a difficult shooting night to hit the only one that mattered, a last second shot by Carlin Whitten that gave Pratt a 55-54 win over Garden on Saturday night.
In what had to be the lowest scoring output for both teams this season, neither team could find a way to produce offensively. Both teams shot 37 percent from the field, with Pratt hitting 31 percent of their threes to Garden's dismal 25 percent. From the line, Pratt managed only 54 percent, but Garden was worse with only 42 percent. The teams were even in turnovers, and Garden outrebounded Pratt 41 to 32.
The Beavers were led by Alex Rivas-Sanchez with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Carlin Whitten had 10, including the game winner. Brett Crittenden also had 10.
