Wind Power Up and Running

Monday, 17 March, 2008

Three wind generators were installed at Pratt Community College in early December

The generators, which were not hooked up until February due to the ice storm, will produce approximately 30% of the college’s electricity. The company who installed them guarantees their production and will make up the cost difference if they do not provide the anticipated power. The towers can be seen on the northeast end of campus. They are located at the Electrical Power Technology Complex.
For more information about the towers, please contact Kent Adams at 620-450-2250.
