USA Baseball announced former PCC Beaver standout Terry Tiffee will be among the 24 members of its 2008 U.S. Olympic Baseball Team.

Tiffee is currently an infielder/outfielder for the Las Vegas 51s and is the Pacific Coast's League leading hitter.
Tiffee, who played for the Beavers under Head Coach Jeff Brewer, was a 26th round draft choice by the Minnesota Twins in the 1999 draft, Tiffee became a free agent last off-season after spending seven years in the Twins organization. Included in that tenure where three stints in Major Leagues in the last three years. Over those three years, he saw action in 91 games batting .226 over 239 at-bats, including five home runs and 29 RBI. Tiffee signed this year with the Baltimore Orioles organization.

Tiffee had a stellar career at PCC, culminating in a selection to the First Team of the 1999 NJCAA All-America team. He still holds school records for a single season in hits (87), doubles (22), and RBI (87). Also, he holds career records for hits (151), doubles (40) and RBI (148). Tiffee had signed with Louisiana State University prior to being selected in the draft.

A 1997 graduate of Sylvan Hills High School in Sherwood, Arkansas, Tiffee now resides in Little Rock with his wife, Kelli, and their three kids.
