2008-2009ACCEPTANCE FEE Upon receipt of written notification from the Dean of Nursing of acceptance into the nursing program, students will be required to pay a fee of $200.00 to secure a slot in the nursing program. This is a non-refundable fee. The fee will apply toward first semester tuition and fees ($100), uniforms ($50.00), and background check ($50.00) for those who enroll in the PCC nursing program.
TUITION & FEES $74 .00 per credit hour (for Kansas residents) plus $50 per semester for non-Pratt county residents. Tuition and fees for out-of-state residents are $76.00 per credit hour plus $100 fee each semester in attendance. International student fees are $118.00 per credit hour and are also required to pay an additional fee of $150.00 each semester in attendance.

TESTING
NURSING Approximately $1200.00. Nursing textbooks are purchased for
TEXTBOOKS NUR101 and used all four semesters.
UNIFORMS AND Approximately $160.00. Scrubs, stethoscope, bandage scissors, PHYSICAL EXAMS Students are required to have a physical exam prior to the first day of NUR 101, and again prior to beginning the NUR 103. Physical exam costs (and any necessary immunizations, titers, lab work, etc.) will be paid by the student. It is strongly recommended that students complete the Hepatitis B vaccination series. Costs will be approximately $120.00.
TRAVEL All travel, meals and lodging costs are at student's expense.
NCLEX-PN® EXAM $272.00 for students taking the PN licensure exam. This includes $200.00 in the form of a money order or cashier's check made payable to the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) and a money order or cashier's check made payable to the Kansas State Board of Nursing (KSBN) for $50.00. Applications and money orders for the NCLEX-PN® exam must be paid 30 days prior to completion of NUR 102. No refund will be made if student withdraws from the NCLEX-PN® examination. Approximately $22.00 is required for the official photograph taken by a designated photographer for the application form.
RN NCLEX ® EXAM $297.00 for the student completing the Associate in Applied Science in Nursing degree. This expense for applying to take the RN licensure exam must be paid in two money orders or cashier checks; due spring semester of the second year (in the amount of $200.00 made payable to the National Council of State Boards of Nursing and the second made payable to the Kansas State Board of Nursing for $75.00). No refund will be made if a student withdraws from the NCLEX-RN® examination. Approximately $22.00 is required for the official photograph taken by a designated photographer for the application form.
STUDENT NURSE $18 per semester for mandatory coverage through the college.
LIABILITY This fee is assessed as a special fee at enrollment.
HEALTH INSURANCE The Chandler School of Nursing and Allied Health, in accordance with various clinical facility contracts, requires that nursing students obtain and maintain health insurance. The student will be responsible for all medical expenses incurred through accident or illness at the clinical facility while present in the role as a nursing student of Pratt Community College. The student will be required to submit a copy of their health insurance policy information annually to the nursing department before being allowed on the clinical floor.
