J.J. Rupe received his Associate in Arts in Music Education from Hutchinson Community College, and a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Communications from Fort Hays State University where he studied percussion, voice, and theater. After some graduate work in choral conducting, Mr. Rupe returned to Hutchinson as a media specialist with USD 308. He has studied percussion with Louis Bellson, Ginger Zyskowski, and Dean Kranzler. He has also studied voice with Dr. Rager Moore, published author Paula Boire, Dr. Jim Brown, and renowned mezzo-soprano Tonya Currier. Mr. Rupe is in his fifth year at Pratt Community College, and is pursuing a Master of Music Education degree in Conducting at Wichita State University. Go Beavers!
