Residence Hall named after President Dr. Wojciechowski
On May 13, Pratt Community College’s Board of Trustees showed their appreciation to President Dr. William Wojciechowski by changing the name of East Hall to Dr. William Wojciechowski Hall.
After working at the college for 24 years, Wojciechowski announced in March that he would be retiring. Read more »
Performing Arts students travel to Tennessee
On May 10, 16 members of the Performing Arts Department left Pratt and headed to Tennessee to celebrate another successful semester. The group met with PCC graduate Kellye Pritchett Huesman in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., before enjoying VIP treatment at Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede. Read more »
Wiese recieves Instructor of the Year Award
Each year Pratt Community College recognizes faculty and staff who have gone above and beyond throughout the school year.
This year, Stephanie Wiese, English instructor at PCC for 13 years, was the recipient of the Professional Higher Education Association Instructor of the Year Award. Read more »
Five Farrier Science students nationally certified
One of Pratt Community College’s newest certificate programs had five students not only get certificates of competition in the program, but also become certified on the national level. Read more »
Women's Basketball Graduates Eight
Last Friday, eight women's basketball players walked across the stage of the Dennis Lesh Sports Arena to receive their diplomas from PCC. Ashley Broadwater, Ashri Broadwater, Hannah Mehl, Keosha Parks, Hayli Jo Smith, Kelsey Strobel, Samantha Watson, and Olivia Wilkerson all earned their associates degrees and will move on to four-year institutions. Athletic Banquet Wraps up Year
Last Wednesday night was the annual Pratt Community College athletic banquet to celebrate the achievements of the teams both on and off the court. The event was hosted by Athletic Director Kurt McAfee and featured guest speaker DanilynnWelniak. Welniak, a sports reporter for KWCH out of Wichita, spoke of her road to becoming a female professional football player.

Summer theatre camp taking registration
The Pratt Community College Performing Arts Department will once again host a Summer Music Theatre Camp for kids. The camp will take place on the PCC campus June 10-22. Monday-Friday of each week, the camp will run from 12:30-5:15 p.m. with performances on Friday and Saturday evenings, June 21 and June 22. Read more »
